The collection includes correspondence, voter profiles, clippings, printed materials, studies, newsletters, notes and photographs. It includes administrative and voter registration information generated by COPE, the NAACP and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Of special interest are field reports on racial integration and voting rights in the South. The collection also contains correspondence with Fannie Neal, Earl Wayne Davis, and Alexander Barkan. Activities for the CIO Political Action Committee and the AFL-CIO Committee on Political Education between 1947 and 1967 are documented. These are Weightman's personal files.
